Hannah Sim - Yoga instructor
Hannah’s love for movement has always been a strong force in her life. She began dancing at the age of 2 continuing through to the age of 20. She completed two years of dance education with Lamondance for seasons 9 and 10. After her final year dancing she found her way to her yoga mat where her love for yoga asana (the physical practice) took flight. After many years of yoga asana being the root of her practice, she felt called to explore this practice much deeper than just the physical layer. Through many years and hours of gaining knowledge through her spiritual teachers and her own svādhyāya (self studies), spiritual pilgrimages to India, Bali, and the Philippines, she is so grateful to share these teachings with her students.
Her classes will provide you with tools that you can take off of the mat into your everyday life to cultivate a sense of calm in the chaos and uncontrollable turbulence of the world. You can expect lots of pranayama (breath), mantra (chanting), mythology of yoga and hinduism, as the two go hand in hand, and mindful moving meditations through asana to prepare the body for the day ahead.
Hannah is thrilled to return back to teach at Lamondance to work with such passionate dancers. Their dedication and devotion inspires her greatly.
