AUDITION OPPORTUNITY

Lamondance is excited to welcome dancers from our dance community once again to perform with us in our holiday show "A Winter's Twist" - A Modern Spin inspired by the beloved classic "Romeo and Juliet" reimagined for a Holiday for the whole family at the Centennial Theatre this November 20 + 21, 2024

Join Juliet Clara, a curious girl whose family doesn't like the winter holidays, who decides to run away from the boredom of the Holiday frenzy as she dashes away to an upside-down, twisted world where she meets Romeo, a boy whose family is hysterical about the holiday.

We are looking for dancers between the ages of 9 and 14 years old.

We are looking for dancers between the ages of 9 and 14 years old (as of November 19, 2024) to audition for the following roles:

  • Polar Bears (3'8″ – 4'10") – required to perform Intermediate dancing/blocking actions and wear headpieces

  • Family members – are required to act and perform intermediate contemporary dancing steps

  • Creatures of the lake – required to perform advanced contemporary dancing steps

Important details to note:

  • Register to audition by September 13 to be a part of this holiday Show

  • All rehearsals are conducted by a member of the Lamondance Artistic Staff.

  • Parents may not observe the audition. However, we ask that a parent/guardian remain in the building during the audition as the dancers may finish early.

When: Saturday, September 14, 2024

Where: Lamondance 3355 Mountain Highway, North Vancouver (Studio 01)

Schedule: 

3:30 pm – 4:00 pm: Registration

4:00 pm – 5 pm: Audition Class #1, 9-10 years old

5 pm – 6 pm: Audition Class #2, 11 years and older

Important: Rehearsals will happen every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. from September 21 until November 16, 2024.

With performances on November 20 + 21 at Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver.

All rehearsals will take place at Lamondance, 3355 Mountain Highway, North Vancouver (Studio 01).
