Ursula Blanchard

Originally from New Jersey now based in Vancouver after receiving her BFA in dance from SFU. Contemporary dance artist Ursula Blanchard is inspired by athletic and physical movement and the visceral response they elicit from the viewer. She is interested in exploring the power of durational exertion juxtaposed with technicality and gesture to evoke clear atmospheres or even to give a narrative effect to her works.
