Payton Kennedy

Payton began dancing at the age of 3. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap hip hop and contemporary, and started competing when she was 6 years old with a local studio in Ottawa. With competing, she was able to travel to many places around the world, including Germany, New York City, Santa Fe, Boston and many other places. Payton also attended numerous different summer programs including Canadas National Ballet, Arts Umbrellas ISDI. After 9 years of competing, Payton decided she wanted to have more contemporary-focused training, she went to Arts Umbrella Dance Company in Vancouver, B.C., starting in 2018 while in grade 10. After graduating in 2021 Payton decided to continue her training at Lamondance where she trained for 2 years, and graduated in June of 2023. In January 2024 she went abroad to Italy to explore her artistry at N.O.D. After returning from Italy Payton joined Lamon as an apprentice of the company. Payton now looks forward to continuing to grow her artistry at Lamondance as a member of the company in the upcoming season.
