"Christopher’s journey in music began at the age of 11 in Ontario, where he picked up the electric bass guitar. For the next four years, he honed his skills performing with various bands, both live and in the studio. Along the way, he found inspiration in his father’s old acoustic guitar, which sparked a passion for songwriting.

At 16, Christopher auditioned for Jane St. Clair, a Barenaked Ladies tribute band, to take on the role of “Ed Robertson.” After a successful tryout, he joined forces with his stage partner Chad Oulds, who played the role of “Steven Page.” Together, they brought the band’s iconic sound to life, performing regularly over the next few years. On weekends when Jane St. Clair wasn’t playing, Christopher kept busy with another project—CC&R, a dynamic three-piece band featuring himself on guitar and vocals, Chad Oulds on guitar and vocals, and Rick VanRycheghem handling upright bass, kick drum, and vocals.

Before long, CC&R gained momentum, playing three to four shows a week and becoming Christopher’s main focus. In 2016, he moved to British Columbia, where he took on the role of lead vocalist for a local cover band, Hot Lucy.

These days, Christopher is fully immersed in his solo career, dedicating his time to songwriting and live performances throughout the Lower Mainland. His shows are intimate and versatile, featuring him strumming his acoustic guitar and singing, often surprising audiences with a playful kazoo solo—a talent that even landed him a spot on the news earlier in 2024.

Christopher’s setlists are as diverse as his musical roots. They range from the country and bluegrass influences instilled by his father, a well-known pedal steel guitarist, to the alternative rock and pop vibes of his tribute band days. Now, his original songs infuse fresh energy into the rock and folk genres, offering a glimpse into the exciting direction his music is headed."
