Join us for Lamondance's exciting five-day Spring Dance Intensive from March 17 to March 21! This has been a staple for our dancers and company members since 2018, and we are thrilled to now open its doors to aspiring dancers who want to experience our vibrant environment firsthand.

Our Spring Dance Intensive offers an incredible opportunity to keep moving and stay inspired during spring break, all while getting to know our esteemed faculty and artistic director.

We particularly encourage graduating high school students to consider joining our Spring Intensive as it presents an ideal way to immerse themselves in our environment, ethos, and the beautiful art of dance. By participating, you will also have the opportunity to connect with our company members, artistic director, and staff. This workshop is tailored for dancers aged 16 and above.

This workshop is eligible for the CADA - Training Subsidy Program, which is reimbursed at 50% of the total receipt.

  • Kylie Miller

    Kylie Miller (she/her) is a contemporary dance artist and educator from Vancouver, based on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She trained at the Modus Operandi Contemporary Dance Program from 2016 to 2020 under Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond, and Kate Franklin, developing a strong technical foundation and creative voice. Since then, Kylie has worked with Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Company 605, and Ne. Sans Opera and Dance. In 2022, she joined The Batsheva Ensemble in Tel Aviv, immersing herself in Gaga movement language and performing Ohad Naharin’s works locally and internationally. Now, Kylie is looking forward to be joining Ballet BC for their 2025/2026 season.

  • Sarah Hutton

    Sarah Hutton: Sarah Hutton is a dancer, actor, choreographer, teacher, and rehearsal director. She was raised in Hanna, Alberta, moving to Vancouver in 2013, and has since trained with the Source Dance Company, EDAM, Modus Operandi, and Peggy Baker’s Emerging Artists Program. Sarah’s other training includes RUBBERBANDance Method and scene study classes with Nadine Wright. She has had the pleasure to collaborate with Paras Terezakis, Rachel Helten, Isak Enquist, Shay Kuebler, Constance Cooke, and Anya & Sophia Saugstad. Touring with Radical System Art has brought Sarah to perform in France, Austria, the United States and across Canada.

  • Aiden Cass

    Aiden Cass: Born in North Vancouver BC, Aiden began his training with North Shore Academy of Dance, and, after graduation, joined Modus Operandi (MO) in 2015. Since his time training with MO, Aiden has worked with David Raymond, Tiffany Tregarthen, Shay Kuebler, Idan Cohen, Paras Terezakis, Mandy Moore, and Emmalena Fredriksson, as well as many other artists in the Vancouver community. Aiden has had the opportunity to perform and tour internationally and throughout Canada with Radical System Art and Out Innerspace Dance Theatre.

  • Keiran Bohay

    Keiran Bohay is a Vancouver, British Columbia based dance artist and choreographer. He has had the opportunity to train, collaborate, and perform with Shay Keublers Radical System Art for over 6 years. Growing up learning multiple styles of dance and theatre performance gave him the opportunity to work across the Vancouver dance scape. From stage to film, on screen to behind the camera, this versatility has granted him a style of movement and understanding unique to him.

    Keiran has gone on to choreograph for local Vancouver training programs(Harbour Dance Centres ITP, Source Dance Co.), Perform and choreograph musical theatre with Ottawas’ N.A.C., Arts Club, Citadel Theatre, and Drayton Entertainment (Prison Dancer, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Etc.), and has gone on to dance and choreograph in many hit tv series and movies (HBO’s The Last of Us, Paramounts Sonic 2 and Rise of the Pink Ladies, NBC’s Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist, CW’s the Flash, Disney’s Descendants 2, ABC’s Once Upon A Time, Etc.)

  • Carlo Atienza

    Carlo Atienza has always been known for pushing creative boundaries with his exceptionally innovative work, but it wasn’t until he completed his degree in Film and Media at the University of Alberta that he decided to move to beautiful Vancouver to pursue his career in dance. Over the past decade, Carlo has made an undeniable impact on the world competitive circuit with the two companies he has directed, The Faculty and TwoFourSeven. Under Carlo’s direction these groups have competed and won at prestigious international competitions such as Body Rock, Vibe Dance Competition, World of Dance, and Hip Hop International. It was through this exposure that Carlo began to teach globally and become sought after by many of the industry’s top professionals. Carlo’s list of choreography credits include BTS, Disney, World of Dance Season 2, and Lulu Lemon’s 2022 Olympic campaign to name a few. As his resume continues to grow, Carlo has also found purpose in giving back to his dance community with his latest endeavour, Quill Collective. With such a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to creating meaningful and purposeful art, Carlo has found his calling in guiding the next generation of creators in finding their artistic voices. By pulling inspiration from hip hop, dancehall, vogue, contemporary, jazz movement and mixing it with his expertise in story telling and staging, Carlo has created a signature style that many seek to study and emulate. As a creative, Carlo has always sought ways to separate himself from the rest. His ability to embody such a diverse vocabulary has proven to be a valuable asset in his career. But most importantly, he wants to create art that is timeless. He is a poet of movement, a proud queer artist, and with his quill he aims to make a inspiring impact that lives beyond his years.   • Ken Godmere

    Made in Canada, Ken Godmere was born in small town Ontario, grew up in stages, and then moved to Toronto in the early '80s to live and learn and work as a professional actor through dozens of stage productions, musicals, physical theatre and improvisation (playing in The Second City's first Masterclass show, 'Loonstruck').

    Going all in, Ken joined a long-running repertory theatre company and continued to work through the next few decades in local, regional and national theatres - winning awards as actor, director, writer and designer.

    After some profoundly life-changing events, Ken rebooted his career, toured the country with his critically-acclaimed solo show 'Vernus Says Surprise', and relocated to Vancouver in 2013 to begin playing in British Columbia's creative film and television scene. To the present.

  • Amanda Torres

    Amanda ‘Instrutora Tupi’ Torres has been training and teaching Capoeira for 15 years with Grupo Axe Capoeira. Amanda travels annually and has participated and competed in numerous Capoeira events around the world. She currently holds two 1st place Champion titles on her record and continues to push her limits and represent Capoeira internationally. She is also part of the Axé Capoeira Performance Team with over 1000 shows under her belt performing for audiences all over the province of British Columbia for the last 10 years.

  • Linda Arkelian

    Linda has performed internationally with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Theatre Ballet of Canada, Anna Wyman Dance Theatre and the Judith Marcuse Dance Company. She was the recipient of a Canada Council grant in 1991 to study at the National Dance Intensive and the National Voice Intensive. Linda has choreographed for and collaborated on numerous contemporary dance projects. Linda teaches Ballet and Contemporary Dance at Scotiabank Dance Centre, as well as Advanced Ballet at the School for the Contemporary Arts, Simon Fraser University. She is also ballet instructor and repertoire coach at Lamondance Company. In addition Linda is a visual artist, actor and filmmaker. Linda has had professional experience in theatre and film. Her dance films with David Cooper have received worldwide acclaim and international screenings in the US, India and the UK. Linda was honored as a guest speaker for PetchaKucha sharing the inspiration of her innovative "Bringing Artists Together" project which integrates musicians' and visual artists' work into her dance journey.
